PASSION - LET THE FUEL BURN INSIDE....
I just want to share
an experience today. Since one and a half month I had been trying to study hard
for the campus drives. But, I couldn't even complete a quarter of the
syllabus.
Unprepared, but lucky enough to clear an aptitude test; I went for my first interview ever.
The first question was about my passion. I told the interviewer that I loved writing and singing. The very next moment he asked me, what did I write yesterday.
And I was mum. I was unprepared and thus did not have any mind-blowing answers. Bluntly, I told him I was preparing for the interview.
And then he said, I see how passionate you are!!

And this was the
moment I know I won't get the job!!!
It cost me that
great job (that was a big company indeed) of 5 lakh per annum to learn this
simple fact;" you are passionate about the things you can’t live
without".
During this phase of
life, many of us are being bestowed with free advice like give your hundred
percent to studies these few months and then carry with your passion; be it
singing, acting, gaming, writing or anything else.
Take my words instead;
the recruiters don’t test your knowledge but your attitude. They look for
passionate people, because passion is what keeps one going at times of adversity.
If you can take a break for a while, then you are not passionate about it.
Today, it pains to
turn back and see how I have left writing.
What am I doing
now??Writing,Eh… That’s the best time of my day. And the best part of my life
is all the time that I have spent writing. These days, when i am back to
writing, I find my studies prospering too. Try it, you surely won't regret it.
You are grown
up, buddy. You too know what eases your soul. Let live your passion, keep the
fuel burning inside!!!

ASHA KIRAN, WHERE WE MET A REAL BARFI...
Was just remembering my old days, today. It was 5th march of this year. After walking for 3 miles in the scorching weather, I and my friend Shivee reached Asha Kiran, an orphanage for girls at Bhubaneswar run by Slajus.
As we entered there, we saw little girls eating boiled potatoes and rice happily. At that moment we felt ashamed of complaining abou the food we eat.
We asked a girl if she knew since when she is here, but she was unaware of it. My partner asked her does she knows about her mom and dad. And the girl gave a carefree no, in answer. She did not even seem to know about what is the importance of parents in one’s life. For her and many other girls like her, family meant the home of Asha Kiran and they only know one relation, the relation they had with their care takers.
The girls had only one brother, Shishir kumar, a speech and hearing impaired person. We talked to him in written. Happy and content with whatever he has, he looks after all the girls there. He even studies in 2nd year Arts in a nearby college.
We have always complained and seen people complaining about their lives. But only a single meeting with them has made us realize how lucky we are. If you still think, you have too much pain to bear, we would request you to visit them and look at their smiling faces.
These people gave us the best lesson of our lives :
LIFE IS NOT ABOUT GETTING THE BEST FOR YOURSELF...
IT IS ABOUT BEING AT YOUR BEST WITH WHATEVER YOU GET...

DON'T LET YOUR DREAMS BE DREAMS!!
Today, on my
way back to hostel, I saw something which propelled me to write after a long
time. I won’t take much of your time making you read the introduction and such
usual parts that an article must have. I would just begin.
I saw an old
man selling posters; funny ones, inspiring ones, love ones and the attitude
ones. I read the top one, while passing by. It said “What seems to be the end
may really be a new beginning”.
The quote
forced me to halt to browse through all of them. I had just forgotten my
zest for writing since months, for I have been so tensed about placements. The posters forced me to appreciate the inner meaning they had. I looked at the
seller’s condition; tampered clothes, poverty-stricken, malnourished yet he
exactly had what I needed the most during this crucial time of my engineering
life.He had all of them, all those posters which have the potential to inspire
us, to heighten our spirits, yet it was nothing more than a paper to him which
he just ought to sell.
‘Buy this one;
see it has a beautiful picture’, he said interrupting my thoughts.
You don’t buy them for the picture but for the quote, I told him.
Just to satisfy him I looked at it. It said in bold letters, “The day you wish your dreams good-bye, is the day you really die”.
Then I looked at the picture, a man climbing a mountain, with abyss all below him. Yet climbing, because that’s what he dreams for.
You should buy this one, my friend said.
Indeed. It reminds me of my broken guitar, the songs once I have made and all the things I want to write about which has nothing to do with engineering.
Will you explain to me the meaning of this quote, the seller interrupted us.

I did the
same.
‘I dream of making my son a mechanical engineer and I won’t let this dream die.

You shouldn’t,
I said. I hope one day he will become one.
He smiled.I know the meaning of all
of them, my son goes to school and he explains them to me. I wanted to see if
you know it or have just forgotten them!!!
Dazzled, I asked him how much it costs. It costs you your dreams to live he said. Take it for no money but for your dreams!!!
